Anti-bullying week is a very important week in Booterstown National School. This year, all of the classes talked about our school’s Bí Cineálta Policy. ‘Bí Cineálta’ is the Irish for ‘Be Kind’, and that is exactly what we talked about throughout Anti-Bullying Week. The children learned about the importance of being kind to others, how we can use our power for good, and how we can have a positive impact on other people’s lives.
As part of Anti-Bullying Week, we celebrated Odd Socks Day. The children (and teachers!) wore odd socks to school as a way of celebrating that we are all unique and that school is a place where our differences are celebrated. Have a look below at all of the wonderfully odd socks that the children wore to school to celebrate Odd Socks Day!
On Friday the 26th of September, we came together with parents in the church for a Harvest Assembly. In the lead up to this assembly, the children of BNS had been busy gathering donations of food, clothes and hygiene products. All of the team at BNS were amazed at the huge volume of donations from the children, which have been passed on to The Capuchin Day Centre and The Alice Leahy Trust. A huge thank you to all of the BNS community for their donations.
